Blame Just Theodore For Avs' Woes

April 28, 2008 - Ian Laperriere, who scored Colorado's lone goal in Game 2, said whoever starts in goal is up to the coaches.
Starter Jose Theodore has been pulled in the second period in each of the first two games.
But Laperriere said he didn't blame Theodore, who has given up eight Wings goals in 51:24 of work over two games.
"I tell you one thing, I'm still playing hockey because of Jose Theodore," Laperriere added. "He played unbelievable down the stretch. He played unbelievable against Minnesota."
"I blame the players. All of us," Laperriere said. "We need to be better in front of him. It doesn't matter who you put in net we need to be a lot better.
"Our special teams were better in the first series. Our (penalty kill) needs to be better and our (power play).
"We can't afford to take that many penalties against a team like that and we know that. They're great, and we'll just need to be smarter."
