From the Children's Cancer Research Fund website:
KINGS 4 KIDS NIGHT 2003 – On Thursday, December 18, 2003 due to the generosity of our donors, over 1300 children and their families were able to attend a very special Los Angeles Kings game. As a culmination of this fund-raising endeavor, donors received Children's Cancer Research Fund's "We Care Bear" and a matching Bear was given to children in the hospital who are undergoing cancer treatment. "KINGS 4 KIDS NIGHT" and our "We Care Holiday Bear" project were a huge success, making the holidays truly special for children with cancer and their families.
