The Flyers killed another five-on-three early in the second period, then increased the lead to 2-0 on Laperriere's first goal as a Flyer with 10:40 left in the session.
Taking a nice pass from van Riemsdyk (two assists), Laperriere went deep into the right circle, near the goal line, and fired a shot from a bad angle that appeared to go under the right arm (stick side) of Brodeur, who badly misread the play.
