Hockey's 10 Biggest Pests
(from FoxSports.com)
NHL players hate to face them but love to have them as teammates. They can infuriate their opponents yet are often considered an invaluable component to any team. They're known as agitators – or more often as pests. Here are the NHL's ten best...
#7: Ian Laperriere
Lappy has been getting under the skin of his opponents since his debut with the St. Louis Blues back in the mid-1990s, but it was during his nine seasons with the Los Angeles Kings that he made his reputation as one of the game's best pests. His face, notably his crooked nose, bears testament as to the results of his abrasive physical game, but the 34-year-old Laperriere, now with the Colorado Avalanche, continues to play the style that has served him well over his long NHL career. Love him or hate him or love to hate him, he's still among the game's most effective agitators.
