Ian Laperriere, the scrappy Flyers forward and former King, is one of the nicest and most honest and unaffected guys you'll meet in any sport...

Excerpt from "Pregame Mood Not Very Telling"
(from the Courier-Post - 6/7/10)
Flyers RW Ian Laperriere said his phone has been filling with text messages from friends in Montreal who have converted to the Orange and Black.
"I get a lot of texts and e-mails saying they've never been Flyers fans, but they are on the Flyers' side to win the Cup," he said. "They're bandwagon converts."
Why have the Flyers become such an appealing team for fans around North America?
"We don't give up, and I'm sure there are a lot of people who in their lives have had ups and downs and never gave up," Laperriere said. "Maybe they can use us as inspiration."
