Throughout the offseason, ColoradoAvalanche.com highlighted the Avalanche's players and looked back at their accomplishments during the 2007-08 campaign through a series of "Season in Review" features.
Lappy led the Avs in penalty minutes (140) and fighting majors (20) during the 2007-08 campaign, while placing third on the club in hits (101).
November 1 vs. Pittsburgh – Coming Back
After assisting on Wojtek Wolski's goal at 11:07 of the 2nd period, Laperriere added a second helper on Ben Guite's game-winning goal minutes later during a 3-2 win over the Penguins.
November 7 vs. Edmonton – Flying High
The 14-year veteran tied his career-high with three points against the Oilers. He opened the scoring 3:46 into the game and then scored the tying goal at 2:20 of the third, helping the Avs to a 4-3 shootout win.
December 13 @ Nashville – Back At It
After missing 12-of-13 games due to a knee injury, Laperriere returned and scored the game-winning goal at 16:45 of the third period in a 2-1 victory over the Predators.
December 31 @ Phoenix – Helping Out
Laperriere earned a pair of assists on Colorado's last two goals of the game, helping the Avs rally back from a 3-1 deficit against the Coyotes to send the game to an extra session.
January 20 vs. Columbus – Pair-fect
The gritty forward again notched a pair of assists, this time during a 3-1 win over the Blue Jackets. Laperriere finished with a +2 rating in just over 12 minutes of ice time.
February 4 vs. Phoenix – Four Score...
Joining a rush during the second period, Laperriere redirected a feed from Brad Richardson past Phoenix netminder Mikael Tellqvist for his fourth goal of the season.
February 6 @ San Jose – ...and 900 Games Ago
Laperriere appeard in his 900th NHL regular season contest against the Sharks and assisted on Ben Guite's first-period tally during a 3-1 Avalanche victory.
March 8 vs. Dallas – The Little Things
Lappy assisted on a Paul Stastny tally in Colorado's 3-1 win over the Stars, while also contributing four hits, two takeaways and a pair of blocked shots in 15:17 of ice time.
April 15 vs. Minnesota – Dirty Work
With strong work along the boards, Laperriere forced a turnover deep in Minnesota's defensive zone that led directly to a Wojtek Wolski tally. The assist was the ninth of Laperriere's postseason career.
April 26 @ Detroit – Hitting the Net
Laperriere scored the Avalanche's lone goal in Game Two of the WCSF against Detroit, depositing the rebound of a Cody McCormick attempt for his third career postseason tally.
